David Murtough

Trumpet, Trombone and Keytar.

Davids’ versatility is a huge asset to the sound of BRIK. David began his musical career in the early '90s, and is a graduate of the Australian National University in Jazz Performance. Initially a trombonist, he expanded his skills over the years to include trumpet, keys and percussion.

He has many years of experience playing jazz, salsa, funk and rock, and has recorded on a number of albums. David has performed on television and radio and at major music festivals in the USA, South Pacific and Australia, including the Monterey Jazz Festival (USA), Melanesian Music Festival (Vanuatu), Samoan Jazz Festival, Manly International Jazz Festival (Sydney), and the Thredbo Jazz Festival, to name a few.

David currently teaches jazz trombone at Griffith University's Conservatorium of Music.
